the challenge
To develop a dynamic brand for a music festival over the course of the semester, beginning with the production of three print posters. Creating and using brand elements that will contribute to the overall system.

the solution
Create a music festival that is unique enough to stay competitive in an over saturated market and develop all assets required to present a successful brand to the target market and create a dynamic brand system that is recognizable and can be used repeatedly over many years without having to make major changes.

the outcome
Sad Songs, Sad People is the only festival of its kind on the east coast and also the only Canadian festival of its kind. With the peak of popularity for emo's second round having not been reached yet, it is time to bring the music to the people!

Sad Songs, Sad People is lighthearted, honest and looking to have a good time with as many people as possible.

We aim to bring people together with the sounds of their past, present and future in a massive weekend long festival. Helping people to recreate old memories and create new ones. Bringing together best friends, partners and new friends with their common interest, a love of the best music genre ever!
